G’day. I’m Andrew Ip.
I am a Sydney-based private general dentist with a special interest in 3D printing which originally started off as a hobby but has now formed a major part of my clinical work.
I’ve owned a number of 3D printers (last count – 27, yes, twenty seven) which has given me experience in dealing with the various manufacturers, software and hardware. I am a Key Opinion Leader for several 3D printing related companies/services. I am not endorsed by any specific company and all my knowledge is based on my prior experiences.
When I’m not designing surgical guides, planning in-house clear aligner treatment or designing a chairside 3d-printed crown, I enjoy printing figurines and helmets for my two British Shorthair cats Max and Minnie (much to their displeasure)!
In my spare time outside of dentistry and 3D printing, I like the colour red, eating delicious food, spending time with my wife and educating her about the newest tech, toys and gadgets.
